    Active: the technology allows for active
    learning, with students making
    decisions

    Authentic: the technology is applied to real problems with a real-life connection

    Social: the setting is designed to allow children to interact while working at the computer

    Digital cameras: Use digital cameras to take pictures of the activities students are doing in any subject area or allow students to use the cameras themselves to explore and take pictures of science concepts

    Kidspiration: Kidspiration and other websites have tons of games and ideas across many subjects

    Hands-on technology equipment: Even young kids can learn through using hands-on technology equipment such as temperature probes and digital microscopes

    Internet: Older early childhood students can be taught to appropriately use the internet as a resource for gaining beneficial information about just about any subject as part of a project or unit

    More advanced technologies: The teacher can use more advanced technologies such as
    digital storytelling, virtual tours, and blogs to create and present lessons in a more engaging way
